Question for those who have replaced the RV fridge with a residential fridge....did you have to go with a "counter depth" fridge so the island counter would not interfere with the slide closing ?

Thanks

Are you limited to a 24" width? If so I don't know of but one that will work that is energy star rated. It made by Summit and sold thru Home Depot on line. It is the same size. Also very low amp 1.6. I am limited to 24"

My 38RL3 came with a 12 cu.ft. side by side Dometic that did not last long since it is a 2007. I went with a Samsung RF197ACBP residental fridge with french doors at top and slide freezer drawer in the bottom. It is actually less than a counter depth model. Measurements are 32" wide, 69" tall, 24" deep without doors and 27" with doors. Going from a 12 cu ft to a 19 is a big difference in size. I did go back with black instead of the stainless that came in our MS. The Samsung was a $1,000 including shipping and is amazing fridge. We are looking at changing out the gas cook top to a smooth surface electric model. We hate the three burner gas model as well as the gas fridge. Our 38RL3 MS does allow some adjustments on the center counter where the TK3 might not.
