I'm looking at purchasing a used Mobile Suites. I'm wondering if you can tell me where/how to find the pin box number?

Thanks!

Usually the number is on the hitch and hand written with white paint, white marker, or white ink. The numbers are hand-written and more than an inch high.

for ex. my 2005 was #1661 and our new 2011 is #5568

louwho,

The pin box number is the last four digits of the serial number. On our 2010, it is located on the rear part of the pin box on the "road side" of the coach. It should be listed as "serial number".

Thanks for posting that the last four digits of the VIN tell us what we want to know. I just forgot that bit of information and failed to state it.

It is stamped on the pinbox and most are Lippert 1621 frames. My Trailair had a sticker covering the frame number. It is not the painted number which is the last four of the serial number of the unit.

That number is the trailer number not the pin box Number.

As Ponch mentions, pin box and trailer numbers are not the same--are you asking to find the trailer sequence number or what pin box is on the unit you are looking at?

I apologize that perhaps I didn't ask exactly the right question - I'm looking for the trailer #. I'm learning as I go along & try to ask the correct question but sometimes I don't get it right!

Amazing that there are 98 other louwho's around...
the number, if written on the pin box, is the last 4 of the trailer VIN--if you want to know what the Lippert pin box number is, you may have to contact them, or DRV.
Glad to have you on the forum, we can surely help each other.
