Does putting a refrigerator in a cupboard affect heat loss from the back? I am planning where to put new units in the kitchen. One of the options is a tall cupboard that can be used simply as a larder, or you can put a refrigerator inside it. But would that make it hard for heat from the grids at the back of the refrigerator to dissipate? Could it damage the refrigerator in hot weather?

If you are considering a LPG refer. you need to vent the gasses as well as the heat.
