I'm not sure of where one could put one otherwise, but I think they delete the regular gas oven and install them in place of that appliance when they install them at the factory..

However, as a third party option something like this might work:

Thats easy...You install it where ever your wife puts you..

But on the other hand they make a countertop model. I don't know how much but I have seen them at the RV shows and Trailer Life Mag..

We considered adding one to our 38' with an extended island.

But ultimately, I'm glad we didn't. I really like the storage space more. Plus we've been in CG's that have very low water pressure and don't think it would clean anything.

I don't think there worth the trouble. For the size, not much can be washed. For $350 I'll come over and wash your dishes.

Plus, paper plates get soggy after washing them in the dish washer.

Hey!! You guys aren't helping Glenn very much.

But, I'm learning a lot. Bob will hire out as a maid for only $350.

I'll have to remember that one. Of course, he'll have to wash daily for a while to make $350 worthwhile.

Most dish washers I have seen are mounted under the Stove top, were the oven would have been. We have no oven, after Delaine learned to use the Convection oven there is no need for a Oven.

For our use a dish washer isn't need I do all the dishes but I admit our fine china is from SAMS club, paper and plastic. Good Luck with your adventure. I will tell you the side benefits I have for doing the dishes are awesome  . I even run the Dyson on a ball.........

I just ain't that sweet to my wife. Besides I work full time still. I've sure had some laughs from these posts. The Vesta won't even set on the counter top though. Living in a 32tk3 is very challenging. Not any room to spare.

Glenn, I can relate. David works fulltime and accuses me of sitting in the RV all day eating bonbons. LOL

We use a combination of Correlle and paper plates. No paper cups and standard silverware. But once David attached a mirror for me to watch TV while washing dishes and added a high profile kitchen faucet similar to what is added to new Suites, I don't really mind washing daily dishes.

But if you're determined, isn't there room in the peninsula? You would eliminate drawers, but if it makes her happy....!

Check with Paul Cross @ Indiana Interstate Enterprises. They can do almost any remodeling at a fair price. http://www.crossrv.com/

Glenn,

I know when we ordered our 06 36TK3 the dealer had a new 05 on the lot that we looked at and it had the dishwasher installed in the inland.

If my memory serves me correctly I think it was a Vesta also I think it was rather small but if there is just the two of you it could work. Like Hitchup said if it makes DW happy then get it installed.

I don't think it would be a real real big job to install it yourself especially if you put it in the inland. You already have water, power and sewer there so that would reduce the trouble with the installation.

As always good camping

Island must be larger in a 36. Vesta is wider than my island is. Believe this is a hopeless cause. Tried to talk wife into a larger MS when we bought this. Thanks everyone.

Glenn,
Sounds like it is time to start looking for an upgrade in size--find one with the dw already in it.
Even with only the 2 of us, I don't think we could get by with a 32. My wife really likes the dw tho, and uses it all the time for small stuff--we use real Walmart silverware and it works good for utensils and small plates.
Are you in a cold area this winter, or somewhere south?

Headed to Pass Christian, MS tomorrow. Be there a week to 2. Then to Corpus Christi, TX until around 2nd week in March, then to Denver Colorado for two months and off to somewhere in Oklahoman. Sounds wild but that's the life of a shutdown welder. On a larger unit, I really like my MS but even at 32 I'm almost 17,000 lbs. I really don't want to go to a MD truck. I have to use my ride for commuting to and from work also. I'd have to go to a lighter unit and I don't know of anyone who makes a lighter unit that is as rugged as a DRV. Been pondering this for a while.

The worst thing about doing dishes for me is space to dry. I would rather let dishes air dry and that's another reason we extended the Island. Lazy yes, but learned years ago, it's also more sanitary. But then it requires dishes sitting out all night instead of tucked neatly away in the cupboard.

Have considered getting an Electric dish rack. But for now because of the cost, am letting our Island stay covered.
