Has any one replaced the transfer switch in their RV?

If so, how difficult was it to get to and change out?

I got a new one off the internet )don't remember where) and it was pretty easy to change. After you open the old one you will have the wiring diagram in living color so just wire the new one back the same way as the old one.
I think I did it in a couple of hours

You may want to switch that wires like I did while you are in there.
My suite was wired from the factory so that the most of the high power appliances( rear ac, hot water, microwave)That you use most, were wired into the 20 amp side of the genset. And it would trip the 20 amp breaker on the onan 5500 genset.
I swapped the wires so the higher amp appliances are running off the 30 amp side. And it hasn't tripped again!

Does anyone know if there are fuses, in-line or other, protecting the transfer switch?

There are two breaker type switches on the genset. One 20 and one 30 amp.
There is breakers in the breaker box in the suite and breakers protecting the outlet that your suite is plugged into.
