I am trying to get the rubber seal under the long slideout replaced due to the large knotches cut out for the rollers. DRV said they would furnish the rubber seal but not the labor due to it sometimes catching the rollers and causing more damage. Question: Has anyone on this forum replaced their seal yet? It really causes lots of cold air to enter in the winter time from under the slide.

A number of us have replaced those seals. My fix was to install a stainless steel piece of sheet the same length as the rollers behind the seal in front of each roller and make it just high enough to prevent the seal from folding over and getting caught in the roller.

DRV could build this in very easily if they simply installed something similar at the same time they fasten the roller bracketry to the flooring prior to the rest of the build.

I have not replaced the seal but did pull it back an put in a couple of pieces of the round foam pipe insulation to take up the gap. Works pretty well but must remember to pull it out before putting the slide out in.

Yes, I like that idea!
I will give that a try next winter, thanks.

I just stuff some rags into the gaps. That stops the air and critter flow into the rig.

I just use good old duct tape and overlap about three long peices,on the openings, then remove them before the slide goes back in.
