Yesirv2 - Your rig looks familiar. Were you at the Class 7/8 Rally in Wichita last September?

05-19-2005, 01:51 PM
Hi Yesirv2: I like the older squared off look of the Volvo, has real nice lines and I also like that color. I am trying to pick a color for my new paint now. If you were not at the HDT rally last year maybe we will see you there this year.

05-19-2005, 10:54 PM
I still hang out and read some, but only post every once in a while.

05-19-2005, 11:44 PM
Well I had time to download my pictures from our week in MB amd added a shot of our new fiver with the toter.

05-20-2005, 08:20 AM
It is the only way to tow. Also tow a 25K gooseneck hauling my antique tractors.

05-20-2005, 11:10 AM
We have had our Volvo for over a year now. It's been almost a year on the road and we have no regrets for having gotten it. We are SO much more comfortable towing with it than we were with 1 ton. Definately the way to go with a larger or heavier 5er.

05-20-2005, 08:51 PM
It's a 1992 that just turned 300,000 miles. I bought it off Ebay a little over two years ago. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Wichita this fall.

05-21-2005, 06:06 AM
 Wow what a bunch of NICE Lookin Trucks!! Yesirv2 - Your rig looks familiar. Were you at the Class 7/8 Rally in Wichita last September? Nope wasn't me. Guess I have one of the old TWucks. How about a Vintage HTD forum?

06-04-2005, 12:22 PM
Doesn't seem like there is much interest on this forum :( Maybe it will get better as time goes by.

06-07-2005, 11:27 AM
I see everybody from Escapees' site is here. I asked for a Newmar section, I'll be around if it gets created. Looks like a nice forum, too.

06-08-2005, 03:42 PM
This is as they say.....better than 1000 words..
Just have a look at my blog.

06-08-2005, 04:13 PM

Yup, got one too, see my sig.

I like toyhaul's way. We thought about doing it that way, with truck, 5th wheel trailer, enclosed trailer. But wasn't sure about two trailers.

06-16-2005, 03:04 PM
wow
the Volvo gang is already here?

green metallic "class of `95" Pete 379....

You going to Wichita next October? I'd really like to see the inside of one of "those kinda" trucks. :P

06-27-2005, 06:24 PM
My newly acquired hauler.

01-06-2006, 10:35 PM
I noticed 4 of the HDT in this post do not have fenders on back wheels, with those big tires is there a chance of 5er damage from objects comming of tires. Just a thought.

WOW, your post was the first one on this thread for OVER a year !!

07-28-2007, 12:50 PM
I was just trying to get something started.

07-28-2007, 01:37 PM
Sounds GOOD to me...........Lets do it!!

My Volvo is 2001 also,,,,,,,bought it in Oct, 04. Volvo engine. Autoshift.

We are on our property near Custer, SD. in the Black Hills....

07-28-2007, 02:46 PM
Got my 660 (Suite-T) from Ryder last Oct. When they say road ready, they mean it, real happy with it. I had it singled at Tampa Springs, in Tampa Fl. Put on a flat bed and tool boxes with a trailer saver low pro hitch.

07-28-2007, 05:11 PM
Those Volvos look even better hooked to a Mobile Suites but then I'm prejudiced :P . We're currently sitting in a KOA at Mallorytown, Ontario, Canada with one of your bretheren HDT guys (PSD-Tweaker) pulling his Mobile Suites with a Volvo 610.

Those trucks just sort of draw stares (lustful  ) wherever they go.

07-28-2007, 06:30 PM
Oh, it don't look SO BAD hooked on to a TETON !! :D

07-28-2007, 08:28 PM
Mike: Nothing can look bad hooked to a Teton  !

07-28-2007, 09:58 PM
Actually a Kenworth T2000 hooked to a Mobile Suites is the pinnacle of good looks! LOL!

07-29-2007, 07:17 AM
Bruce,,,,,,ahha, now your back on my good side!!! :D

Dave, Howdy,,,,,,,Long tine no see. Missed you at the last HDT rally!!! You guys gona make this one?
They keep getting BIGGER and BIGGER !!

07-29-2007, 08:30 AM
Unfortunately we're not going to be able to make this years rally in Wichita. We will though be in the Valley all winter. Didn't I read that you bought a lot in Mission? If so all the HDTers in the Valley get together several times over the winter. Our lot is just a couple of miles west on the north side of 83 at Martin Valley Ranches in Liesure Valley Ranch.

07-29-2007, 03:20 PM
We're gona miss you again at the Rally!! But we will sure see you in Mission. There are 8 of us so far that have purchased lots at Retama Village. We will be there Nov, Dec & 1/2 of Jan, then we will go to our lot at the Escapee RV Park at North Ranch near Wickenburg, AZ until may, then we will return to the Black Hills.......God Willin and the Creeks don't rise...... :)
We'll see you "down" South....
PS. PressurePro System still working OK?

07-29-2007, 08:14 PM
The PP system is working great. We'll arrive in the Valley around Nov 11. See you then.
