For wiring the system uses a ground at each tank
just like the factory installed system however only one signal
wire is used. Most factory systems run a wire fromeach tank to the monitoring panel. The
SeeLeveL system ties
each tanks signal wire together so only one wire is run to the
control panel. To simplify our install and avoid having to run
any new wire we used the existing wires run from each tank and
tied them together at the control panel end and in a sense made
it one common wire. We soldered each connection and used heat
shrink tubing on each connection to ensure a worry free install.
The factory uses wire-nuts and some weren't holding very well.
Next we removed the factory control panel from
the wall and opened up the hole slightly for the
SeeLeveL panel using a
roto-zip tool. The four existing signal wires from each tank
which are now tied to the new sending units were soldered
together and attached to the new SeeLeveL panels wiring harness
according to the instructions. We also used the existing 12v
supply wire & ground as well as the water pump switch wires
attaching them to the color coded wiring harness. All that
remained was to attach the new panel to the wall with the 4
supplied screws and test the system.
