There should only be 120volt power leads into the slide--no speaker wires.
The power is supplied by an umbilical cord under and at the rear of the slide. There is a junction box on the frame where the electrical connections are--after disconnecting any power to the trailer, take the junction box cover off and you should see the wire connections that probably are put together by wire nuts. Unscrew the wire nuts, take all the wires to the slide off and replace the wire nuts. Then tape them all securely so later you won't have a short.
In order to remove the slide with the least damage?? I would begin by taking the faceboards that surround the slide inside off. I am not sure you can remove the slide in one piece without using a forklift. The slide seats against a gasket on the inside of the faceboards--you can better understand this if you have the slide partially in and use a small step to be able to look at the top of the slide when it is in.
When you get the inside done to where the slide would come out if it could, then you are faced with the framework underneath. Again, I see no way to take the slide out in one piece without the use of a forklift.
It would be very nice and probably helpful to others if you would take some pictures while doing this dis-assembly.
Thanks,
Joe
