We are starting to look into making reservations for our entry into snowbirding next winter. We plan to spend next winter in Florida. We want to get as far south as we can and spend the least amount for a campground. So, I thought I would see if anybody had any recommendations for places to stay?
Right now I am leaning towards M RV Resort in Moore Haven near lake Okeechobee. Has anyone been there lately? _________________ Happy Trails To You

The further south you go, the higher the rates. I just looked at 2 in the Palm Beach area...$50 and $70 daily.
How about RGV or Arizona? _________________ John & Peggy

From experience I can tell u to stay away from the east coast (expensive)
I would look into the state and county parks.
We jump every week to a new one and never spend over $30 max.
We even spend some time in Miami for that cost.

JD, plan on hitting RGV & AZ the following 2 winters. We have vacationed in Ft Lauderdale the last 20 years and really like it. We want to see how close we can get and not be packed in like sardines and cost big $$.
We have spent a little time in the RGV and liked it pretty well. AZ is ok for temps but really lacking on beaches.
Bill, seems center of the state is fairly reasonable for cost & distance from the beaches. Good to know that state & county parks are available. We dont plan on reserving anything for Feb & Mar and just wander around unless we find a place we really like. _________________ Happy Trails To You

Tom,
We go to a nice county CG in Arcadia. It is central and sits on the Peace river. Reasonable priced (only drawback is sulphur smelling water. Folks go there daily and find shark teeth and prehistoric mammal teeth.
