AC Return Grill Fasteners

After most of 3 cooling seasons, our return air grill cover screw holes were about worn out.

I picked up some 8-32 x 3/4" "truss head" machine screws and some 8-32 flat speed nuts along with some 8-32 thumb screws.

I installed the screws from the back side of the ceiling paneling, threaded on and tightened the speed nuts to hold the screw in place, then reinstalled the grill and wing nuts. Makes for an easy change/cleaning of the return filter material.

I want to find some white 8-32 threaded knobs to make the installation look more professional.
