kitchen slide gasket

this is my first post, so please bear with me. :) I know there is a fix for the bottom gasket (Light coming through). I have seen it posted, but I can't seem to find it now.

Hi Sharyn,

The "fix I use is simple. Take some rags and stuff in the free flow through ventilation holes MS put in the seals. That stops most of the air, the light and bugs from waltzing through into the trailer. The other option is to splice additional seal material over the holes using a combination of glue and pop rivets to hold the patches. Final option is to replace the seal. Replacing the seal is going to be a major job for the owner. Since MS put the holes there by design it's not a warranty issue to them. They meant the seal to have holes in it. Letting light, air and bugs access to the interior is a "feature".

BTW I just got the e-mail this morning. I'll make the call later today.

Thanks Mike, He already has the new gasket. He picked it up when he was down to the factory to get new sheet metal for the blow out we had on the way home.
