Emergency Exit Window

While returning home from snowbirding in Florida, a truck driver flagged me over to the side. I found the living room large emergency exit window loose and flopping at bottom and just hanging at top by one side. This was a safety hazard to others as well as expensive to replace. Found the screws had backed out of the red plastic holder and fell to floor, allowing the other side to work loose allowing window to be sucked outward by passing big trucks. Just passing on my bad experience and lucky no one got hurt.

Ron,
Did the window survive? Thanks for the heads-up.

Hey Joe,

Yes the window did make it by only hanging by one side at top and flopping at bottom. One thing for sure usually when a truck driver is waving and flashing lights, it not a good sign and to be all, the truck driver stopped to see if he could help me put it back together. Also, Joe your old tuner is working great!

Ron,

Interesting about the window--would have thought it be damaged flopping about. No hurt to the trailer finish either?

Glad to hear about the tuner. Just turned 97k on my '09 and decided to tune it also, and delete the DPF. So far, good results, and soooo very happy to get rid of the regeneration sequence.

We are in Lagrange, IN, at Indiana Interstate getting lots of maintenance/mods done before heading for Alaska in May.

Good to hear from you.

Joe
