Thoughts on CARRIAGE F35KS3 LXI

We recently purchased a 2002 model of this Carriage.
Our opinion after 6 weeks is : This is a well thought-out model, with excellent build quality for the $$.

The little things like a big closet right at the entry, the island in the kitchen area, the opposed double super-slides (13 & 14 foot), the heat-pump, the double-floor (extra quiet), and lots more make for a very comfortable 5th. wheel in this length (36').
I would reccomend potential buyers of this level to look closely at a Carriage.

JMHO....
Rick

Cameo LXI

Rick if Carriage builds all their units like the one we have I'm not surprised that you are impressed. We are planning on a Cameo LXI F34CK3 hopefully the latter part of the summer.

Just my opinion, but I did do quite a bit of homework before selecting this brand.
There are just so many companys out there jockying for position in the marketplace.
It is very hard for the average joe to sift through all the various so called "features" of so many offerings.

Essentially I think Carriage uses quality materials (plywood & glass wool insulation) as well as construction techniques (double-welded aluminum studs)
and 12" frames to support the unit to arrive at a final product.

The full double floor is a big advantage for thermal comfort, but doesn't add anything to the trailer that "looks impressive".

Other manufacturers like to build trailers with high ceilings, and collossal looking cavernous front storge bays. There is a hidden cost to that type of build though....

I hope your new Carriage suits you well, and I know you won't be dissappointed.

Rick

Hello I am a newbie here and husband and I were looking at a 2005 3 SKQ Carriage Compass. Well I fell in love with it. It has the light maple wood and a rear step down kitchen. Does anyone here have one of these units??
Since it is of course a leftover model dealer would give good $$$
for our unit we now have as we want to full time soon.

2blackdogs,

First of all welcome to the forum.

Just a suggestion: Since you are asking about model SKQ, you should start a new topic under the Carriage banner rather than ask the question in the thread titled CARRIAGE F35KS3 LXI. It'll stand out that way and might get noticed better.

We just bought a carri lite 36SBQ the new floor plan for 2008. We love it! Ordered it with some extras. Although many things are standard. We are going full time if our house ever sells.
This is our 4th 5th wheel and the best! Would recommend this brand!!

We are new to this forum. Hello from Dusty and Don
