Update on Fluorescent light fixture

As I mentioned in an earlier post, one of my fluorescent lights in the bedroom quit working. After trying other bulbs that I knew were good, I checked the electrical current which was fine. I then took the fixture down so that I could do a good inspection of all the wires. Everything looked perfect, all the wires looked just perfect and all were secure.
I then hooked the fixture to a l2 volt battery that I had in my garage and the fixture still would not work. At this point I ordered a new fixture. It arrived yesterday and was installed today and works great. It should as it nearly broke the bank. We are getting ready to leave on a trip and I did not have time to shop around, so I think I paid more than necessary.

ps: Someone sent me an email about this problem on another forum and I really appreciated the information. However I was unable to respond.
