Custom changes

Can anyone with a TKSB list any changes you had done. Then I could be a copy cat. I have asked for "Doors and shelves on the desk area" "Full Paint on the front cap" "Lower dining room window and install cabinets overhead" "Omit bathroom window and move medicine cabinet over to the sink"

Richard,

I am curious about your decision to paint the front cap. To be honest I never considered it. Are you doing it for aesthetics or function? What design are you using?

Hi Mike
From experience I Know the caps are made from some kind of plastic not fiberglass gel cost and after time they loose the new shine no matter how much waxing you do. So I am going to have it painted where ever it is not painted already then I can keep it waxed and keep the shine.

Also ask for:

1) Extra pantry shelves
2) 2-3 shelves in lower linen closet, if you don't need to store an upright vacuum there.

Delete the window behind the TV sure wish we had. It never used, TV stays in the up position unless we are rolling. Have Drv install a shelf under the Bedroom Tv for the Sattelite receiver, glad we did. Just give them the measurements and they will get it done. We have the extended (84") kitchen isle we had the TK but we much prefer the extended kitchen isle more room. We also deleted the gas oven, have no need for the oven with the Micro/Convection oven. GBY....

Extended kitchen isle

Is the 84" isle standard in the 38 or special order? If special what is standard length.

We had to special order ours, the standard Isle is much smaller. Very little space on top on the standard Isle. GBY....

If you extend island on a RSSB you will probably have a cupboard at the end for either the trash can or whatever....or you may add a Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher...or more drawers. There are also 4 drawers under the RS appliance garage instead of the 3 drawers in a TKSB.

You can ask for the living area to be as much vinyl as possible. The dining room slide has to come in on some carpet.

You may have wood valances over living area windows...either plain or with decorative trim.

If you want solid wood doors instead of any with glass...or add more glass front doors. The pantry can be made a little deeper to come even with the edge of the bedroom steps.

Most of the front cap is painted now...just the bottom portion which doesn't get direct sun is not painted on a Mobile.

We deleted the couch hide a bed and substituted 2 more recliners. We also got a flip up extention on the kitchen island for more counter space.
