no water to trailer

A friend just arrived today to our park, in a 1998, gulf stream seahawk, he just purchased as a used trailer. I was helping him set up and we hooked water to inlet line, and no water goes to the trailer. The hose has a air line connection and the lines going straight past the connection travel to bath room sinks, but no water or only a trickle. Is there a backflow preventor immediatly after the water inlet? we thought frozen lines and have a space heater inside the storage compartment for possible frozen lines. any suggestions?

yes it should have a check valve so when running the pump the water will not go out of the inlet. you might need to remove the inlet connection to the trailer and gut the check valve and buy a new one later or buy it and replace it.

no water to trailer

chevyman: thanks for the reply. Found the bad check valve and removed it and did obtain water to front area of trailer. The unit is a rear kitchen and the hot water heater is towards the rear of the trailer. We now do not have any water flowing to the rear of the trailer. So kitchen sink and hot water is minus water. I do not see where there might be another check valve. It could still be frozen line in the underbelly of the trailer were hoping but not sure. Any ideas on a fix.

Another check valve is on the water heater where the cold water enters the hot water tank. No water in no water out.

Chevyman: thanks again for the help. Found out the problem was self infected. The low drain line was cracked under the trailer and we obtained a plastic fitting that we could install on the line. Problem was that we cut line above area that was inside compartment of the trailer and installed the shutoff valve. The low drain line was also the flow line that went towards the rear of the trailer to the hot water tank and the rear kitchen area sink. We were waiting for the line to thaw and it was not feeding water and that was the problem. we installed another fitting inside compartment that flows the water to the rear area and placed the shutoff valve under the trailer where it was supposed to be repaired and we had proper water flow thruout the trailer. Next fall I told my uncle to fill the trailer with anti freeze and not have a freeze problem which was our original problem. Thanks, Jim
