Finally, a portable compressor for 125 PSI Goodyear tires.

Dwalt D55146 Heavy-Duty 200 PSI 4.5 Gallon Electric Wheeled Portable Compressor. Weighs 83 lbs and can be powered by Honda EU2000i generator. Got a factory recondition unit online from Tool King for $249 with free ground shipping.

Used it yesterday with my Honda EU2000i to fill tires on 36TK3 to 125 PSI. Works great and of course can be used for many other purposes.

Bought a 150psi compressor at Lowe's for a little over $100. Can be easily carried with one hand. Fits nicely on the sliding storage tray. I use it for trailer and truck tires.

I have one on my Dodge CTD engine to power the Pacbrake system. It puts out 150 psi and runs my airhorn as well. It came with a spiral hose and do-dads to inflate tires/footballs/blow-up dolls etc.

Carry all that weight if you want.

Campbell Hausfeld model CC2300 rechargeable ($45+or-) will do them also. Available at Wally world, Home Depot, Tractor Supply etc.

Takes about 6 minutes from 120 to 125. Beats the heck outta lugg'in around one of those pancakes; plus needing 110 to run it.

I have the Campbell Hausfeld 120 volt compresser, not much bigger than a lunch pail.

I get 125 lbs out of it, a bit slow but it does the job.

Can access 120 volts using my inverter.

RV'ing, and especially fulltime RV'ing, is all about compromises. Most of these fall into the categories of need/convenience, space availability, and weight, (not to mention cost). An air compressor really can fall into all of these. Each of us has differing requirements, so what works for one may not work for others. For instance, I prefer not to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get 5psi @ 125psi, so I have a 150psi Porter Cable pancake, that weighs about 25-30 lbs. While shopping for a compressor, I did see others I liked better, but most were too heavy for my preference, so I "compromised".

Having a compressor that weighs 30lbs, rather than 83lbs, just means I can load on more stuff the DW has a "need" for!!

Of course, I do have an onboard Onan generator, at about 290 lbs, that can take care of my need for 120V, for the compressor! (Now that is what I call compromise, and weight management!!)
