Electricaly Challenged

We noticed that our refrigerator fans had stopped working and the temps would rise. I went out to check on the fans this morning. I hooked up a 12 volt wire to the 12 volt plug in the basement. I then unplugged the fan and hooked it up to the 12 volt wires. The fan turned on. So I now know that my fan does work.

I could not check the other fan because I dropped the wires and it sparked on the side of the door opening. Now the plug in the basement no longer works. I checked the fuses in the fuse panel and all seem okay. There is not a fuse behind the plug and none in the battery box.

It seems every time I try to resolve one issue I create another. Sheesh!

Any ideas if there is another location for a fuse for this plug?

I don't know about the plug itself but the lines to the fans are supposed to have a fuse in one wire of each fan. They should be 3 amp fuses and are in line style fuses with a twist lock style holder. These are located in the rear compartment of the fridge behind the outside access panel.
