Cupboard door catches

Has anyone found a source for the cupboard door catches used on the '05s. I've found larger ones, but I've been unable to find any that are the size used on our unit.

Dave

Call the factory. Ask for parts.

They will be more than happy to send them to you.

I have been able to find them at one RV dealers parts store in Medford Washington and they are not cheap. A pack of 2 catches costs over $10.00. I'll see if I can find the package again and then list the name of the manufacturer of the item. Perhaps there is a second source for mail.

I complained to DT about this. I've broken at least 10 of these. DT sent out new ones for free.

The factory send me new replacements under warranty. Also I read on either this blog or another that you can use a flat washer to fix the broken one and I tried it and it works.
I bought a box of 100 flat washers the right size for $2.90 and put a washer on every latch screw and it keeps the latches from breaking. It gives the screw a larger contact area on the latch.
Hope this helps.

I haven't found the (%$*&)&^(*&^ pack for the catches I bought in Oregon last summer yet. I did find this web site in a quick google search. This place has the same latches and also sells the catches separately. The strikers are what break most of the time and you can buy them for less than $4.00 there. The entire catch sells for just under $10.00 according to the web site.

I found a second web site that has more selection. They have 2 sizes of the catches and sell the striker itself as well as the entire 2 piece setup. They are slightly lower in price too.

http://rvdiscountsuppliers.com/rv-pa...or-catches.htm

This is the page from the manufacturer but they don't seem to sell direct unfortunately. They do list the part number for the catch 2 piece and the striker alone.
