Fluorescent Lights

I have a 2006 Mobile Suite that has the l8 in Flourescent lights in the ceiling. Can anyone tell me how to get the plastic lens off, so that I can put in a new bulb? It has a couple of marks on each side and I thought you would just press the sides in, but I have not had any success.
Thanks
wwc

On mine you just sqeeze the sides in. It took a little fiddling but they came off.

Thumbs on the bottom of the lens, fingernails underneath the rim on one side, applying slight upward pressure with your thumbs gently pry downward with your fingers, should pop right off.

If that doesn't work a 2 lb. hand sledge hammer will get it done. :P

Seriously it's a spring effect, just squeeze the sides together gently and the lens will pop off.
