fireplace heater not working

Anyone have any ideas how to repair an electric fireplace heater in a 2007 Elite Suites 38RL-3? Circuit breaker is working.

Do the rocker switches feel normal? They are a common failure point. Not high quality switches. Short of that, pull it out and check with a vom. Should be easy to troubleshoot.

Normal? in their tactile feel, or there is continuity through them? As anijet notes VOM, power off, fireplace unplugged.
Danger ** You may wish to employ a repair service**
Generally the manufacturer will often offer (website [Dimplex? etc.]) a wiring diagram. Could be one glued on the rear or inside an access panel.
There may be a Klixon thermal overload / thermal fuse tripped internally if it got too hot or the circulatory fan failed.
Older heating elements (similar to a clothes dryer) are prone to failure from vibration, dust collecting and overheating etc..
Not sure of your make and model? You vintage probably has parts obtainable readily. The newer Dimplex units are said to have digital circuit board failures. $100 a pop.
Best of luck, we use ours ALLOT! And would hate to be without it.

Just get a new fireplace

We struggled for a couple years with our Dimplex researched on line called dimples had DRV check it, but it just would not keep the heat element running for more than. Few minutes. Dimplex advised to replace the entire heat element at $160. After considering that we also had to replace the flame lights it seemed like a better rout to go was a total replacement Carefully...very carefully measure the fireplace opening the width is the key, you have some wiggle room in the height then hit amazon or eBay and start shopping, be careful on the measurements posted on line and confirm a matching inside width measurement our is 26 and 3/4 inches but the fireplace was posted as a 28inch model, that turns out to be the outside trim. We had to add a coupe of mounting blocks inside the opening and drill 4 holes in the fireplace flange to mount our Ever Light replacement that was $200.
