5th wheel pin box clearance

Bought a 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500
6ft box installed a superglder slider hitch
I have a 2012 keystone Montana with a trailer air pin box.

I noticed the other day my bed cover rail had a groove in it which was caused by the pin box.
What is the proper way to cure this problem.

Raise the trailer with a spacer between the spring hangers and the frame--not a hard project for a competent spring/axle shop. Lots of new trucks are needing a 2" riser from the factory for clearance.
Not sure how your pin box is configured, but next time you are turning sharply, note where the contact point is--I cut off about 2" on the metal flange that runs along the bottom of the hitch box. Normal turns are ok, but if off-level, was causing contact with the Retrax cover rails. Cover still works normally, just chewed up the top of the rail and doesn't look good.

And, welcome to the 5thWheelsForum.
