Honda EU3000is at 7500 foot elevation

We used our Honda EU3000is this past weekend at 7500+ foot elevation running the air conditioner without a problem. This was with the camper plugged into the 30 amp twist lock connector. I was fully expecting the power loss from the increased elevation to cause the generator to go into fault mode.
I'm a happy camper!

Do you have the high altitude jet installed?

FINALLY!! I am new to the 5er world and am looking for a generator and I know altitude affects performance. This is the first forum I have found that addresses altitude. Since we live in Montana, I'm concerned about having enough power at higher altitudes. The Honda is able to handle the AC? Does anyone have any opinions about the Yamaha EF3000iSEB? Also, I have seen conversion kits to run with LP..... any thoughts on this? Thanks for any help!

I also looked at the propane conversion kits but then the portable generator becomes not so portable. It it was going to be mounted in a fixed location on the 5thwheel then it may be a great idea.

Just for the sake of better performance I'm going to install the jet kit that SUN honda informed me about but as it sit now it runs the AC right out of the box.
