2011 DRV Elite 43 5th Wheel & 2005 Heavy Duty Truck Combo For Sale

2011 DRV Elite 43’ 5th Wheel & 2005 Heavy Duty Truck Combo For Sale By Owner

We have lived full time in this fifth-wheel for the past 5 years, but now are settling down in Colorado, so it's time to sell it and it’s travel partner, the Freightliner Century heavy duty truck due to declining vision issues. You won’t pull the guts out of this truck, and it’s good for 1 million miles! We purchased this RV new from a dealer.

Does the truck scare you? Don’t worry, it’s just like driving a dually, but it’s taller so you can see even better on the roads! Even I can drive it - and I’m NO truck driver! AND NO CDL license needed!

*** Full description and features (too long to list here): http://tinyurl.com/HDT-DRV-details

*** Video Tour: http://tinyurl.com/hdt-drv

Price for this gorgeous very customized combo is $175,000.

Thanks for looking - holler if you have any questions that the 2 links above didn't answer. If you want to see how well made these units are, click here: http://www.drvsuites.com/videos.html

NO CDL needed - it's a private "not for hire" vehicle

No state requires a CDL to drive an rv. However many states require a upgraded license to drive anything over 21,000 (I think that's the weight), And some states say any trailer over so many pounds require a different license. It goes by the state that issues your license, not the state you are driving in. Legal at home for driving, legal anywhere.

Also some States don't allow this!

Correct porkchop. Our vehicle is under 20,000 and the rv is under 24,000.

Cummins12V98 - I get shudders seeing the double towing like in your picture! So scary!!

So your combined weight is over 21,000 lbs. requires a different license in some of the states, such as Texas and Calif. for starters. Depends on which state issues your license.

I think the actual weight limit in TX is 26001--anything lower as an rv combo is ok--over, should have a special class CDL. I am going to have to work this out when I get back, as I am definitely over.

Honestly it's no different than towing just the RV. You do need to pay more attention when turning.

Change your Domicile to SD if you are full time, no such requirements.
