Weight Police gearing up.

An interesting/entertaining discussion over on the Escapees forum about issues some people are running into recently with officals from various states pertaining to vehicle weight and regulations.

Most of the conversation refers to drivers of MDT but looks like it may also affect LDT also.

Looks like a typical , 'I heard', 'I had a friend that' or 'my friends sister in laws adopted puppys owners were thrown in jail for being overloaded'. The one guy that had a problem was running a commercial venture and trying to pass his drivers off as owners. I might believe these things if there ever was a 'Hey, I got stopped and they fined ME for (whatever)'.

After pulling RV's for 40 yrs. and many many thouands of miles I finally have a set-up that just barely meets weight specs. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
I also renewed my CDL last fall just in case that becomes a requirement. The explosive and radioactive endorsement were dropped though.
