A little common sense goes a LONG WAYS. Do what you want. Those check valves leak and WILL cause damage.

Look at my system, if I leave it open I will have WAYYYY more issues.

When I sell my RV I will show the new owner what I did and they they can decide to leave it or replace with new valves.

After connecting the water, and a leisurely stroll back to the RV I saw water pouring out of the hydraulic compartment. Houston's and DBRS3's have the vacuum breakers behind the shower in the front bath directly over the hydraulic pump and electrics for the pump.

Stink bugs .........

Had to take the valve apart to get the bug out.

This video is after taking the access cover off and having my wife turn the water on and off looking for the leak.
