Have you replaced carpet with wood?

I just refloored my trailer and everything went great. But now that I'm done I have a potential problem with the door side slide. So I was hoping someone had already solved this problem and could save me some trial and error. As designed that slide comes in and slides across the carpet. Mine now is sliding across the faux wood and I'm concerned it is going to scratch the floor. In addition on the rear end of the slide it goes across the heater vent and the black piece on the bottom of the slide snagged the heat vent. I've only tried it once so far but clearly I need to take some action. Suggestions welcome. Thank you

Our mobile suites has linoleum type flooring and I cut 4 carpet squares and lay them on the floor before I pull the slides in to prevent the exact thing you are worried about. So far, so good. Good luck.

Yes, I think that will leave a solid mark where the door slides on

I have replaced the floor in our old unit with tile. I remember cutting a piece of the old carpet and making runners for the slide to run on.
