WEIGH_IT!!

We had arranged to meet Gail and Stacey Frank of “Weigh-it” in Casa Grande, AZ to have our truck and trailer weighed. They met us near a truck stop with their portable scales. These folks are great! They are personable, quick, efficient and knowledgeable. Within a ˝ hour they had everything weighed, a comprehensive tally sheet printed and Stacey went over everything with us – all for $50. Well worth it – maybe the best $50 we have spent!! This was the first time that we were able to get a comprehensive loaded weighing done on the new truck and trailer. This is very important and something that every RVer (not just full-timers) should do. Far too many RVs are overloaded – some dangerously so. People blow tires or have other problems and don’t understand why. It is most likely because they are overloaded. Stacey and Gail are no longer full-timing and are based in the Casa Grande area. They may still do some rallies and other events though. Check them out at: http://weighit.tripod.com/

Preaching to the choir here in some cases. I met Stacey and his wife several years ago, good folks. I didn't know they hung up the keys though.

I found Stacey's spreadsheet regarding MS units to be very concise and persuasive. It was really not a surprise to see that all 3/4 tons and most 1 tons were towing overweight.

I noticed you have the MorRyde IS suspension. Did you order it from the factory or have it installed afterwards?

We had our rig weighed by Stacey and Gail back in 06 at the very first MS national rally in Goshen. Was a real eye opener! We were one of those grossly overloaded PUs!

Now after 4 yrs towing with the HDT we have done several mods, added some things to the MS so will be doing a re-weigh with them in Casa next week! Have hit the Cat scales several times for general info after mods but nothing like the individual wheel wts they can provide!

Great folks!

While traveling and at home at the camp, we run into a lot of folks, and sometimes rig wts come up. It is amazing how many folks have zero idea what they weigh or they are going by dry wt from the salesman. Scary actually. Hit a Cat scale at least! Meet up with Stacey and Gail or someone doing the same thing even better.

Not weight police, just adding an endorsement to the thread.
