How To Repair Buffet Dinette Table

Problem - Table top has separated from sliding support system re from one 2x4 and bracket causing table wobble when extended.

The sliding dinette table on our suite had one of the drawer slides separate from the 2x4 support. i.e. the screws fell out or at least missing The table is supported by three drawer slides attached to vertical hung 2x4.

1. Unscrew the 2x4 mount from the one needing repair, two screws, from the dinette cupboard underside and remove.
2. Unscrew the metal drawer slide 2 screws from the table and remove.
3. Remove metal L bracket stops to free table to slide out completely.
4. Reattach the slide to the 2x4, two screws.
5. Reattach the slide to the table two screws
6. Reattach 2x4 to bottom of dinette two screws
7. Reattach metal L bracket stops.

Done

Just a note to remove the table
1. Remove L bracket stops.
2. Unscrew centre metal slide from table underside
3. Push down on black plastic tabs on guide slides. Pull table out to free from side drawer tracks.
4. Table can be removed.

Again I have no idea what size of screws were used to fasten the slides to the 2x4s as i noted two small screw holes, but no screws found? But I must mention, our dealer did replace the table while under warranty re finish issue. Anyway check out if the slides are tightly fastened to the 2x4s, i.e. if there is any table wobble.

BTW - I am a clutz at repairs but you got to get handy when you have an RV.

Great pointers. Thanks. Removing the table and taking it outside to refinish sounds a lot more logical than doing it in place. Your pointers will make that task a little easier.
