HELP beeping

Help! Woke up this am about 5:30 by a beeping sound. Finally found that it was coming from something in the compartment where the batteries and hydraulic pump are. What is in there that could make a beeping sound. I was in there 2 days ago to fill the batteries with water. Also I looked at the levelup control and noticed the display was lit up. I pushed the on/off button and nothing happened. It seems to have quit beeping now. I will check to see if the levelup does anything later
