If it takes more than a couple of *clicks* to get your stove burners to light, there's something wrong somewhere. You can either get the problem fixed or get one of the grill lighters. We had an RV once where the "clicker" stopped working within days of taking posession. We thought about having it fixed, but decided on the grill lighter instead.

In order for the burner to light, propane has to reach the orifices, so, yes, some propane probably is released. So what? Again, the amount is so infinitesimally small, that it shouldn't present a problem.

There's a difference between a healthy respect for an RV propane system and being paranoid in its use.
