Stove top hardware

Went to lift the stovetop the others night and heard something fall down behind it. Not sure what it was until a few days later. Wife lifted it up again and it came completely off. Did some hunting and here's what we found.IMG_20190804_102920.jpg
Any idea who might carry these.
Also what epoxy to use with Corina?
We are out in S.D. now.
Do you think a Minard's would be the place to look

Really not sure what is in the pic--a pivot pin? Might google the stove mfg for owner manual and possible parts description/number. If Menards doesn't have it, check a parts dept at an RV store--have the stove model/SN with you if possible. Lowes/HD usually have an extensive small parts section with weird nuts/bolts/gadgets.

This wouldn't be a stove part. This is the counter top cover that DRV would have designed . Same design I think they are still using.
The picture is the under side of the Corina top that covers the stovetop. There is a hinge that it connects to and pivots up. Hinge has a small gas shock that holds the top up.

Guess I am no help--the cover on our '15 is a piano-hinge type, screwed to back of stove and to cover. I would suggest trying DRV, but probably have more luck calling Cross RV in LaGrange, IN. He is former Doubletree employee and constantly works on older and new DRVs. Pretty well knows everything about them. CrossRV.com I believe is website.

Those appear to be knurled press inserts with bolts still screwed into them. Amazon sells a variety of these.

MKT46,
Trying to figure out where these are on my unit--try as I might, cannot see anything but the long hinge across the back. Are these knurled nuts used on the Corian counter cover on yours or the burner cover on the stove itself?
Thanks,
Joe

Joe the knurled part goes into the underside of the Corina counter top. The screws than go through the hinge and into the threaded part of the knurled nut.
I wasn't able to find these at Menard's. Amazon has all different sizes and style's I just need to figure out what I need.
As my picture shows I was only able to find 3 of the 5 needed. To me it looks like the previous owner had dealt with this also.

Mike,
Thanks. But try as I might, cannot see where this nut is. Is it to lower right behind the drawer to right of stove--can barely see the gas strut that holds the top up by peeking thru the opening along side of drawer. Have not had the occasion to get into that area, hope never to have to...

There are 5 brass inserts. They all are behind the stove.
Bolts are 10x32x1/2". I found the knurled inserts on eBay. Having them sent to my daughter in Worthington Mn.

My stovetop is developing the same problem. The top is beginning to pull free on the end with the gas shock. I can see one of the knurled brass fittings has pulled loose however the other end appears firmly attached so far.
MTK how did you make the repair and has it still holding?

I ended up doing my repairs at the city campground in Worthington MN.
I replaced all the knurled fitting and also didn't reconnect the gas shock.
Not sure why that shock is there. I guess to keep the top in place while going down the road. To me it puts quite a load on those knurled fittings & the hinge.
Anyway mine has been fine sense then.

I have already made this repair about 2 months ago. I think the hole is to large for a replacement fitting to work long term so, used a dremel tool to add a grove to the bottom of the hole in the counter top, add a brass insert with threads on the outside and inside. Put the brass insert in the hole filled with super glue and the attached the hinge and clamped in place to dry.

I took the top off yesterday (removal was harder than I expected) and discovered the fastener on the end where the gas shock attaches gone and the next one in place but stripped out. The other three were so securely fastened that I could not remove them.
I ran a bead of gorilla glue from the end with no fastener to almost the middle. I used a cut up pie tin to force the glue down into the gap. I clamped it, left it overnight, and I am going to reinstall it this afternoon. I am certainly not looking forward to that job. My biggest fear is stripping out the screws when I reinstall the top.
I’ll let y’all know if it holds.

My repair was a total fail. As soon as I got it reinstalled the gorilla glue failed. I’m back to square one.

My cover will not stay open with the gas shock disconnected. Due to the way it is hinged it does not open to or past 90° vertically.

What model and year of MS do you have?
Mine even when the shock was connected opened past 90 degrees and rests on the wall behind the stove.
