Front Cap decals peeling ?

I have this problem, and I am curious if anyone else has had success with changing those decals?

Should I simply contact DT, and to buy them direct?

Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance.
Rick

Rick, I would call Kent at DT to see what they can do, you never know, they may send you a new one at no charge! Can't hurt to ask.

Cheers,
Bill

I had to replace mine and it's not that had a job.

First off make a couple of marks so that you can put the new one on in the same place.

Get a heat gun and use as little heat as possible to heat up the decal. It willpeale off fairly well. There are actually two decals, the D and the "Mobile suites".
Then use a good paint cleaner and wipe off all residue.

Now get a bottle of spray water with ONE or TWO drops of soap in it. no more.

Spray it on the cap and then place the on and move it around until you get it straight. Then use a squeegee to get the air and soap bubbles out.
Don't get in a hurry at this point. Take your time. I used a squeegee that they use in a body shop and it works very well.

Let this get fairly dry, at least too dry to move with out a lot of pressure and the do the same thing with the "MOBILE SUITES".

Good luck
