Advice and suggestions please?-- for our Full-Time Fiver

Hi. My wife and I are eager to get back into RVing and have put together a wish-list for what we consider to best for OUR RV. Our use will be mostly off-the-grid and wilderness boondocking, but with some stops at campgrouds, too. In 2000 we bought and fixed up a 3280RL Montana to our specs...but that one we sold a couple years later. Thank goodness we got most all our investment back. Now we need to find another fixed-up fiver...or buy new/used and do the additions ourselves. We hope you can help us find this RV:

RV type: 5th Wheel,naturally!
Year: 2002 - 2006
Length: 32-35ft.
Weight: towable by a 1-ton diesel
Slides: 3 or more
Price: depends on value
Location: anywhere, but prefer mid-west to west

Features we want:
solar power (a few 100/watt panels)
1500-2500 watt invertor
4-6 deep cycly 6-volt batteries
generator 3.5-6KW
satellite TV & Internet (auto-manual)
biggest TV's possible..computer desk
boat hitch on Fiver (frame)
outside shower-outside ent. center
lots of storage - slide out bins-trays
all-season R factors-heated tanks/bays
thermo-pane windows, tinted
fireplace would be nice
king size bed
center door entry
largest fridge/freezer
never-lube axles
etc, etc.

Well, you get the idea. The as-perfect boondocking Fiver as we can get. Could be that there is one out there looking for an owner.

We need some help and info to shorten our search. What brand and model do you think best fits this choice? Shops and technicians to do the best work? Thanks for your experienced advice. Roger and Phyl.

Google it!

If you have an idea of what make or model you want, just google it. That's what I did and how I got my wonderful Mobile Suite. Also go on RV-online.com and you'll find lots for sale.

But first join RV Consumer Group and check out the quality of what you're looking for. That's also what I did and otherwise would have bought a piece of junk that looked pretty and had a great salesman, or rather many great salesmen that I visited last summer - until I joined RV Consumer group and got their disks and saw the quality of all the ones I'd been looking at - pieces of junk!

Of course, too, it depends what you want, and how much work you intend to put into it too.

FWIW, I think your list make it impossible. All of the things you want will require a trailer that is to heavy for a pickup to tow and then you want a hitch to pull a boat behind.
