Thanks to Lippert!

Back in Ontario. Slide fixed! Thanks Ron, Bob, and of course Lippert.
The price was right too! Lippert covered the complete cost including the Saturday morning service call and welding!!! (again thanks Bob)
Arrived at the Service Center in Goshen at 8 am (Monday)
They fit us in between other scheduled jobs
Found the problem & adjusted the slide when all was completed
We were on our way before noon!

Now that's what I call customer service!

And the problem - a stone between the floor and street-side slide!
p.s. Thanks to Dale for knowing who to call!

Mike, Maureen, and Percy the Wonder Dog!

The "Rock"

The problem was caused by a "rock."
Marble sized. Sharp edges.
Tracked in on someones shoe.
Worked its way under the carpet "flap" that hides the seam between the rig and the slide.
Somehow wedged under the slide floor almost directly above the slide ram.
Quite a "grinding" sound as the slide was moving.
Also found some insulation wound around the rod that connects the slide rails.
Works great now!

Mike,
Sorry to hear of your slide problems but good that it got repaired easily.

I had a similar problem last year on the way home. My bedroom slide started to cant, bounce and grind in and out. By putting my substantial a-- against it I could get it out and back in while Carolyn ran the switches.
After it set in Washington all summer and I came back down from Alaska in the fall I found the problem and fixed it for about $2. A bolt holding one roller lost it's nut and got cocked in the track.

Have a good summer and will see you back in Casa Grande this fall.

Jack

When we are getting to break down camp I always reach under the off door slide along the vinyl area and make sure no rocks are there to grind into the vinyl.
