MS Water Input Valve

Hi, we are the new owners of MS Lafayette.

A little background, we have been RVing for many years and have made the standard progression from Tent to Popup to TagAlong, to Carriage 5vr to Diesel Pusher (we wanted and did travel out West for many years) back to MS 5vr. We are three, DW and I (77) and MIL (99) and we winter in Naples, Fl and will be leaving the 5vr here during the Summer.

We are pleased with the MS but am totally disappointed with the DRV provided Documentation, it is so "general" as to be useless. The Manufacturer's documentation if you can find the location of the Device.

My question concerns the Water Input Valve, it has four positions (Normal, Sanitize, City Water and Tank Fill). I am familiar with Sanitize and Tank Fill but do know the difference between Normal and City Water??? It was in City Water when we took delivery and everything seems to be working fine. I have done no experimentation.

I will appreciate you input, thks.

I believe normal is using the water pump and fresh water tank.

Thks for the input. While the Water Pump works normally in the City Water position, it makes sense for the WP to have its own position, that would rule out Back Flow if the one-way valve on the CW connector were to fail.

I will go outside in a few minutes and check the connections on the valve. Shall let you know.
