Quartzsite?

We plan on traveling to Arizona this winter and staying in Quartzsite for a few weeks. We’ve never been there and thought it would be fun to be there in mid January for the shows. I guess every RVer has to do this at least once?

Anyone else going and if so where are folks staying? Would be nice to be with other Suite owners?

We stay in Quartzsite from early October to April most every year now. We really do not like crowded camp grounds so we stay at the BLM long term visitors areas. Have been staying in Laposa North closer to town for the last couple years, this year we are staying at Laposa south. There are seversl others wit rigs that stay both at south and north.

How do you handle water and sewage? Does a honey truck service the area?
We have been in Quartzsite for the last three years. We stay about 8 miles south at a friends place.

Quarzsite in January

There was a mini-rally of Mobile Suites at Quartzsite last year, January 19-22. It was organized by Wayne and Carol Rothwell as a function of a western chapter of the SOITC and AZ Dream-Chasers. I know there were at least six Suites there, it was very informal and we had a great time. Location was 1 mile south of town at LaPosa North BLM entrance on the East side of Hwy 95. Very informal. Have not heard of anything organized for 2010 yet but you never know. These things can come together in a hurry.

We will be in the area again this year and for sure we will spend some time on Plomosa Rd North of town.

There are services that will bring fresh water to the campsites and also services for the waste tanks. We can run about 11 days without dumping and towed back into Q to freshen up at the Pit Stop.

Last year was our first trip to AZ and we are very much looking forward to going back again. Hope we to meet you at Q.

We had to stay north until after nieces wedding last sat. Nov. 17. And drove DW to doctor apt. yesterday.

Headed out today to Quartzite. We will be staying at Desert Gold in Brenda, just about 10 miles east.

We use tanks and haul our own. 125 gallon for each , fresh and dirty water. There are a couple of us (probably going to be a few more ) that camp for the winter together so we share the costs and duties. There are a couple company's that will haul out and bring you fresh. but this way we set our own schedule

Cyndy...
Did you ever get the refrigerator to operate as you needed? Was interesting reading about all the troubles with it.
