Bob, I have the Trailer Saver hitch. After reading on the Suites forum, which is still not working, and other forums, and also on the recommendation from Ken at Rvs4less, I opt for the 2" lift. The guys at the factory don't tow or camp, enough said. I also have, but not using, the 2" and 3" TS lift kits. I got them just in case I needed them when I picked up the MS. If anyone needs either, I'll sell each lift for $75 each. ($150 from TS). Anyway, my Dallas tows level.

Bed rail clearence

My Mobile Suite is equipped with the Trailair air ride model #1621 with low air pressure in the airbag it will hit the bedrails...But with the proper air pressure 80 psi. I can jack the MS 90 degrees with no trouble at all...If I had this clearance problem you folks are experiencing I would be so annoyed with DRV for installing something like that on my RV...

I agree! I had one on my 07.5 MS and added the TriGlide. The new 16 MS has the same thing and it just floats back there!

I'll be at the factory at the end of this month for several repairs and see what they have to say.

Glad I found this thread, as I'm having the same exact problem. I am having to replace the mounting rails for my tonneau cover this week, and I may have tweaked the truck bed rail slightly (but no cosmetic damage.).

I have the TS3, and I automatically assumed those "wings" hanging down from the frame behind the pinbox bolt was the issue. But if you measure those, they cannot reach the bed rails even at 90 degrees of jackknife. The contact appears to be the aft-most portion of the frame, up where they mount the breakaway brake box.

I also called MorRyde and DRV and they were both scratching their heads. Only thing Rob said for sure is that he wouldn't recommend lowering the pinbbox by going from 6 to 5 bolts. But it sounds like I'm not the only one out there with this problem.

I definitely don't have enough clearance between the bed rails and the underside of the trailer. And at the rear, near the tailgate I have even less clearance. The trailer is riding a bit nose high, and this decreases the gap. I have the 2" riser under the TS3 hitch and don't want to decrease the clearance up front any more by removing it. So, the solution appears to be raising the rear of the trailer 2" (MorRyde IS back there.)

Until then, I have to be very careful not to rest the trailer on the tailgate by going into twisting up or down driveways. I won't be able to get to the MorRyde factory until April......so fingers crossed between now and then.

HR, for additional bed clearance you could lower the rear of the truck. It was the best solution I could come up with and it works out well.

The factory fixed mine. They lowered the pin box and were able to still have 6 bolts in it. I saw some 43 footers there that only had 5 and no weight rating on them. Mine was the only one I saw with 24000 6 bolts and 22000 5 bolts sticker on the box.

I looked today, and saw no such stickers on my pin box or frame area near the pin box.

Leo, how did you lower the rear of the truck? Something about shackles?

Hmmmm............one of those 43 footers may have been mine. We go to Rolling Retreats Tuesday to see our new rig for the first time in person. I will be checking out the Mor Ryde hitch status for sure.
