Pin weights
Question for you fulltimers in 40' rigs or close. Or you snowbirds that load up for the winters. What are your pin weights?

Think on our last CAT rollover we were closer to 4400lbs. on the pin Plus we run a Rola cargo carrier plugged in the trailers receiver. Another 30" in OAL.

Yes it does for a dry weight of 16,800
2,300 pounds of options
Diesel gen and tank is almost 450 pounds, 3rd AC, vanity slide, 3 slide toppers, slide awning, outside TV (and resulting cabinet inside), washer dryer.
It all adds up I suppose, but I still don’t see 2,300 pounds of options.
I verified the weight - somewhat. I did not weigh the trailer right away. I weighed it when I left the dealer, and with the amount of water I added, I would think the weight is close. Also didn’t do the math yet on th weight difference between two 40 pound propane tanks shipped empty and filled by the dealer.
And I can’t get a full tank of water in. Each fill I have only been able to get about 80 gallons in, and the tank level gauge indicates the same percentage of full.

Our 39tksb3 two axle shipped 18,075# with a 21K rating. It weighs 23K with about 20 gallons of water and propane full. My gen prep was done at factory but 6500 Commercial Cummins was done at RR. I had the W/D installed at the factory but no slide toppers or bedroom vanity slide. We do have 3 AC's and MANY Elite upgrades along with Quarts tops.
Yea I don't put any faith in their "DRY" weights!!!

I was told the dry weight is as it leaves the factory. All dealer added options are not added or allowed for. My dealer installed option included a REAL couch and 2 recliners, Awnings toppers, some other furniture, Mattress and such. Thus I,m up against a weight before the refrigerator is turned on

Well, we traded for our '15RSSA about 15 months ago--on the way home, we weighed it when empty, no water but propane. We had transferred our generator from the old one.
Listed Dry Weight: 16500. GVWR: 19000. Yellow tag on door: Weight of cargo should never exceed 2735lbs...16500 + 2735 = 19235. With the advertised dry weight and possible cargo, it is already over GVWR. AND, the empty trailer weighed 18300--take the gen out and maybe 17900?
What a joke on these figures. Most of them should have the triple axles at 38" plus.

You're right, Ron--but if it could weigh 21k, unless the PW was over 5k, the axles would have more than 8k on each of them--as mine does.
DRV needed to put 9k axles on these or build with triple axles...
I've always had plenty of cushion on the tires with 17.5s on the '05--now, not so much.

I have the 9K axles.
The difference between the 8K & 9K can be seen if you look close at both.
The brake size difference is very easy to see.
