Oginally my power-awning had a mind of it's own as well.
It was a frustrating mix of all the above mentioned ills.

A little over 15 moths ago at the Perry, Ga. GoodSam Rally they had (amongst many others) factory reps there just looking to fix various problems.
They (Dometic) fixed me up with a new roof-top wind-sensor, and a new control box.
I have to tell you it works as it should.
No longer has a mind of it's own, it does exactly what it is pre-set to do.
So, there is hope.
I would contact them for any possible up-grades they may have quietly introduced into the circuitry, and ask them for some help.

When the awning does what it is designed to it is a nice option.
