Ceramic pads are not good for HD applications.
"ceramic like" is a term I haven't seen yet.

Organic (NAO)
semi metallic
ceramic

Each have pros and cons, organic being the least desirable.

Of the two remaining, it is personal preference and application.
They each have differences in performance and neither is the perfect brake pad.

Providing the pads on my trailer are ceramic as claimed by Kodiak, I am satisfied with the actual braking performance. The advantage with trailers is being able to set the gain to your liking. Something you obviously cannot do in a standard vehicle.

The 9/10K rated brakes on this trailer are by far the best performing brakes i have had on any trailer. But, that is only when the wheels are not dragging, the retaining plates aren't bending or the brake lines are not breaking.

Not a 'complaint', rather an observation.
