FWIW after having to deal with Dometic directly for warranty issues on the AC 2 years in a row, I learned that Dometic already warranty their AC / heat pumps for 3 years from date of purchase of the rig they are installed in. Other appliances also have a warranty period of their own. Look at the documentation that comes with the rig to see what has what length warranty.

As far as insurance is concerned, we deal with a broker, Farm and City Ins. 800-331-1520. Trese is the RV specialist. She understands about RVing including fulltiming and even HDT's / MDT's. She has always been very friendly and easy to talk to. We're very happy with their service and the cost of our tow vehicle and trailer combined is just a touch more than what I paid for a 1 ton PU alone when we had a stick house.
