Congrats on your new unit! Hope you are through with the lemonade path. We don't have any problems with the black marks, but I have found that Shout does a pretty good job as a carpet cleaner.
For towel racks we put a tension rod in closet with the washer/dryer and one along the long wall over the window in the bathroom. Plus we added a towel rack from walmart to the wall opposite the toilet. I still would like to figure out another one around the vanity, but maybe after we spend a little more time in our unit.
