To remedy the notched slide seals, DRV furnished a new rubber seal without notches, just for asking. They would not provide labor. I just applied the new seal right on top of the notched seal and this provided a double seal, taking care of any possible elements from entering. The screws are plenty long just to add and a simple job. Just remove the screws and metal strip and install new strip and replace screws along with the metal strip.
