Ditto on the space heater. But add to that - pickup a 12 gauge extension cored from Harbor Freight. I've found 25 ft adequate in every situation. Run the extension cord from the pedestal, in through the window, and plug in the space heater. If there is no 15/20 amp receptacle on the pedestal, use the 30 or 50 amp breaker (which ever you're not using). You'd be amazed at how hot the duplex receptacle will get, and this way you'll be able to easily monitor the heat of the plug/receptacle and you'll be sure no other appliance is being used in addition to the space heater. I like Patton Milk house style space heaters. The coils don't get red hot - puts out gentle heat and a lot of it.
