Think I figured out how to remove the sliding/movable portion of the dresser so carpet can be replaced beneath it.
Need to remove the two top drawers of that section, drawers that flank the laundry pull out drawer. Look on each side just beneath the drawer slides and you’ll see the right and left guides for the moveable dresser. You’ll also notice the guide pins with a white plastic lever. Rotate the lever which releases the guide pins and the dresser will be free to pull out.
It’s a little tight to get the dresser out but doable if one has help and is careful.
