Lippert Service Center

Today we took our Suite to the new Lippert Service Center to have work performed on our Level-Up that was sold and installed at TrailAir. Ron McCoy is the lead tech. for this service so the transition is basically seamless. The Lippert Service Center is managed by Rik Burgoyne and you will not find a person with better customer service skills. He is very good at returning calls and E-Mails timely and knows the systems very well so can answer just about any question that is possible without actually looking at the unit in person.

Our issue turned out to be the front jack pistons had blown seals inside so they would not stay up when retracted. Ron said it was just a matter of time before they would have failed in both directions and not hold the unit up. According to Ron, Lippert is now using a new design piston that has heavier seals and uses wiper seals that are "T" shaped so have a lip that helps hold them in place. Also uses "O" Rings for the actual pressure seals. This is quite different than the original flat seals on the old pistons. With the higher pressure and volume of the new pump installed with Level-Up, our old style pistons could not handle it. Not sure how long Lippert has been using the new pistons, but something to consider if adding Level-Up on a rig where the pump needs upgraded or replaced.

Although this all could have been prevented when Level-Up was installed, I will say that Lippert has really stood behind the system throughout the final transition of the buyout. I have really been impressed with the Lippert Service Center and feel they are more than equipped and manned to install Level-Up on any rig.
