Update: DRV did send a dimmer, but it is a 12volt and won't work. Well, I finally decided to actually look at the switch and found it is a Pass & Seymour Lleland product. Couldn't find it on that website so discovered it is a kind of switch called a "self contained" switch and they are also "pass through" type. Found a website that carries them: http://mobilehomepartsstore.com/Merc...tegory_Code=SR for $5.99.

Might still try a regular dimmer but I have to see if there is enough space for an electrical box. They make boxes that mount the same way as the self contained switches and recptacles do with ears that rotate out to grip the back side of the wall.
