[Carny Bill]

Can anyone tell me why GM and Ford,maybe even Dodge, have went to the large slide in adapter on the reciever hitch?

I have an 08 with it and am thinking of spot welding it in place so as not to have another piece I could lose or a part to rattle, but maybe the Big 3 know of some future use for them........Bill
